2 walk-in clinics for vaccine fantastic Falmouth this week

With effort to keep as many people as possible safe against the COVID-19 virus continuing not 1 but 2 walk-in COVID-19 vaccination clinics will take place in Falmouth this week.
Cases of COVID-19 are continuing to rise across Cornwall, and it’s expected they will rise further following today’s (19 July) lifting of restrictions.

Getting vaccinated with both jabs is one of the ways we can protect ourselves, the people we love and those around us, and enjoy a return to normal everyday life.

Falmouth and Penryn surgeries are holding first and second dose Pfizer vaccination walk-in clinics tomorrow.

Anyone who’s 18 and older and has not been vaccinated or had their Pfizer vaccine 8 weeks ago or more can pop along to the Falmouth Health Centre outpatients’ department in Trevaylor Road, TR11 2LH, from 9am to 1pm to get a dose of Pfizer. Please do not contact Falmouth Health Centre.

For anyone who can’t make tomorrow the COVID-19 vaccination van will also be driving into Falmouth, offering first dose Pfizer vaccines from 10am to 5.30pm on Friday on The Moor, Falmouth, TR11 3QA.

There is no need to book just walk-in tomorrow or Friday and grab a jab.

Issy Boyd, a GP for Falmouth and Penryn, said: “We’ve already held 1 walk-in at the Falmouth Health Centre and we are delighted to provide a second chance for people to walk-in and get themselves. We know that with the hot weather many people will be thinking about hitting the beach but before you do take 15 minutes to grab and jab.

“We are offering both first and second doses for people who had their first vaccination 8 weeks ago or longer so that people can protect themselves against COVID.

“However, if people would prefer to book, we also have lots of appointments at our Penryn surgery. To book an appointment go to the national booking service or call 119.

“By having both doses of the vaccine we can make sure that we provide the body with the best protection against the virus. Both jabs are really important as we return to our everyday lives in keeping ourselves and each other safe. So don’t delay and do it for Cornwall.”

The NHS would like to thank Falmouth Town Council and Falmouth BID for its support with providing the space on The Moor for the vaccination van to deliver jabs.
