NHS Kernow’s website closed on 30 June 2022. Visit the NHS Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Integrated Care Board website for information about our health and care services.
We work with everyone involved in health and care locally to join up services and, to develop and deliver the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly long term plan.
There are many more service providers from the charitable, voluntary and private sectors that allow many patients wider choice of service location and type. Find out more about patient choice.
Natalie Jones holds the portfolio for emergency preparedness, resilience and response.
NHS Kernow uses guidance from the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) when planning and providing services for patients.
NICE provides independent, authoritative and evidence-based guidance on the most effective ways to prevent, diagnose and treat disease and ill health, reducing inequalities and variation as well as seeking to improve the quality of care. NICE develops guidance by working with experts from the NHS, local authorities, and others in the public, private and voluntary sectors.
