NICE provides independent, authoritative and evidence-based guidance on the most effective ways to prevent, diagnose and treat disease and ill health, reducing inequalities and variation as well as seeking to improve the quality of care. NICE develops guidance by working with experts from the NHS, local authorities, and others in the public, private and voluntary sectors.
