Most GP practices across Cornwall and Isles of Scilly offer this service to their registered patients. You will need access to the internet, or know someone who has, to be able to use it.
eConsult is available on your practice website or through the NHS App.
For those accessing through the NHS App please follow the steps below
Using the NHS app will pre-populate your demographic data for a quicker consultation.
If you are not sure if your practice has eConsult, visit the eConsult website and enter your practice details to check.
If you require a response within 48 hours, please do not use eConsult.
You can use this service for things like:
An enquiry about a health condition will be responded to by the end of the next working day.
An enquiry for an administrative request such as sick notes or GP letters will be responded to within 72 hours of receipt.
If you do not receive a response within the periods set out above, please do not submit another enquiry. Please either wait for contact from your GP or phone your GP referring to your enquiry.
It provides you with the ability to tell your GP practice your problem without needing to phone your practice. That saves you time on the phone and allows the practice to focus on urgent patient enquiries.
