Healthwatch Isles of Scilly is part of the national Healthwatch network. They undertake statutory functions under the Health and Social Care Act 2012 and they have legal powers, and public services are obliged to respond to their requests and reports.
Local involvement is the key to local Healthwatch. Healthwatch Isles of Scilly is a non-profit organisation led by volunteers, with a wide local membership. They gather your views and contribute local feedback and intelligence to the planning, monitoring, scrutiny and regulation of health and care services. They also raise issues through regular meetings with services and through joint working groups and ask for change if it is needed.
Healthwatch bring you news and information about regional and local services, and can help you find sources of further information and advice.
You can contact them or leave comments at any time, just call in or get in touch via email.
The Healthwatch Office is in the Thorofare, St Marys.
