Penwith GP locality
The Penwith GP locality stretches from St Ives on the North Coast to Marazion on the South Coast.
The eight GP practices in the locality have a registered population of approximately 65,000 patients. The locality includes the towns of Penzance and Hayle and the small rural town of St Just. For more information, go to the locality's GP surgeries page.

There is a Minor injury Unit located at Stennack Surgery in St Ives which is open Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm.
Edward Hain is a community hospital and located in St Ives. It it hosts a number of outpatient clinics each week. The 12 bed inpatient ward is currently closed.
West Cornwall Hospital in Penzance is a satellite hospital of Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust. The hospital provides a range of healthcare services including a 24-hour Urgent Care Centre, two medical wards, day case surgery, x-rays facilities, a renal unit, a treatment centre and outpatient clinics for a wide range of conditions.
St Michael's Hospital, also operated by Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust, is in Hayle and provides a range of specialist services including a surgical unit, x-ray facilities, outpatient clinics and therapies.
This locality is committed to achieving the best use of local health resources and providing as much care as possible as near to the patient’s home. A leg dressing club with social activities has recently been established with the support of the voluntary sector.
Penwith has two Primary Care Home sites - east Penwith and west Penwith. The locality is committed to developing an integrated care team approach to better support people within the community setting. This will bring together a range of health and social care professionals to work together to provide enhanced personalised and preventative care for their local community.
