Shaping Our Future recruitment campaign

SoF recruitment

This summer is an exciting opportunity for people who work in health and care across Cornwall and Isles of Scilly.

Partner organisations from across the county are working together to open up the biggest opportunities for people wanting to work within these organisations.

We know how lucky we are to live in a county as beautiful as Cornwall and how about also finding a job that makes you feel valued, respected and like you are making a real difference to people’s lives?

Exciting things are happening in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly and partner organisations are on a journey to bring together the NHS, our local authorities and other organisations that care and support people in our communities by providing wraparound care that meets their needs, where they live.

This will be achieved by creating a single workforce that brings together health and care services. One Workforce is looking for the brightest and best staff in nursing and support roles to deliver exceptional care in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly in both inpatient and community settings.

Staff who are passionate about making a difference to people’s lives, either on a ward, in a GP surgery, or in their home are being recruited now!

If you want to return to health or care after a career break, are looking for your first role to launch your career or looking to bring your experience into a new arena – this could be for you.

In the next five years, there is a once in a generation opportunity to transform local health and care services through the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Sustainability and Transformation Plan (STP).

The STP is mandated by NHS England to achieve three aims set out in the NHS Five Year Forward View:

  1. Improve the health and wellbeing of the local population.
  2. Improve the quality of local health and care services.
  3. Deliver financial stability in the local health and care system.

Our local STP will focus on the actions and changes required in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly to achieve these triple aims.

The STP will build on work already underway to integrate health and care services and is part of the programme to deliver greater devolution for Cornwall. The STP will create one plan, one budget and one system to better serve the local community within the resources available.

In Cornwall and Isles of Scilly we are taking control and Shaping Our Future – and you could be part of this!
