Governing Body secondary care doctor

Update 08/04/19: We have now closed applications for this role.

Do you have a high level of understanding of how care is delivered in a secondary care setting? Are you willing to give an independent clinical view on all aspects of our business?

As well as sharing responsibility with the other members for all aspects of the CCG Governing Body business, the role of clinical member secondary care doctor is to bring a broader view, on health and care issues to underpin the work on the CCG.  In particular they will bring to the Governing Body an understanding of patient care in the secondary care setting.

You will need to be currently employed as a consultant, or have been in employment as an consultant at some time in the period of 10 years ending with the date of appointment to the Governing Body  (if no longer practicing medicine, you will need to demonstrate a relevant understanding of care in the secondary setting) and not be employed by, or a shareholder in, one of our provider organisations.

To apply, read our information pack (DOC, 52.9kb) and then complete an application form (DOC, 3734kb). The closing date for applications is noon on 8 April 2019.

You can also speak to Dr Iain Chorlton, Chairman, or Jackie Pendleton, Chief Officer, by calling 01726 627942 or Trudy Corsellis, Board Secretary on 07881 804867.
