Dr Andy May is a partner at the Three Spires surgery and clinical lead for mid-Cornwall primary care network. He said: “Cases of COVID-19 are on the increase, and Cornwall’s GPs, practice nurses and pharmacists have once again stepped up to protect our community and NHS. The Lander and Three Spires surgeries have lots of vaccine available to protect 1, 200 people a day until the end of December.
“You can just turn up if you’re in town doing some Christmas shopping or passing by. We have plenty of availability and most people are in and out within 20 minutes (including the 10 minutes to wait after their vaccine). There is limited parking at the surgery, but we recommend walking from town or taking the bus, which stops opposite the surgery.”
Cornwall’s NHS is aiming to deliver 172,000 booster vaccines by the end of December, around 9,000 a day, following the Prime Minister’s announcement on Sunday evening urging people to get protected from the latest strain, Omicron. There are plenty of other vaccination clinics open across Cornwall.
You can also book your booster at any of our other centres by calling 119 or using the national booking system.
