COVID-19 vaccine

Grab a jab in Cornwall

You can get a dose of the COVID-19 vaccine from a walk-in site without an appointment. You do not need to be registered with a GP to use a walk-in vaccination site.

You can get these at walk-in sites:

  • 1st and 2nd doses for people aged 5 years old and over
  • boosters for people aged 16 years old and over, plus at-risk children aged 12 to 15 years old
  • spring boosters for people aged 75 years old and over, plus people aged 12 years old and over with a weakened immune system
  • additional primary doses for people with a severely weakened immune system aged 12 years old and over

You cannot get any other doses at walk-in sites, but we’ll update this page whenever new groups become eligible. Please note that not all sites are open to children or young people under 16.

If our walk-in clinics are busy, please try to pop back later in the day. They’re often quieter at the end of each session. Please be patient and kind to staff whilst you wait. If it’s too busy, we may have to close the clinic early to keep you and our staff safe. Don’t forget, you can also book your COVID vaccination. This way you will get a time slot to attend and won’t have to wait.

Anyone attending an appointment at the vaccine centre will be greeted by volunteers who will marshal car parks and register them when they arrive. The centre has been organised to allow for social distancing.

They will receive a health check and a pre-vaccination assessment before the vaccine, and then be observed for 15 minutes afterwards.

Those who requires extra support from a carer should have them attend the appointment but is asked this is kept to a maximum of 1 other person to maintain social distancing. Wheelchairs will be available for anyone who requires them, and disabled parking is available on site.

People attending their appointments should wear loose clothing to provide vaccinators easy access to the arm, and flat shoes.

Please ask someone, wherever possible, to drive you to and from the site. This will allow you to receive your jab and return to your day as quickly as possible, and will mean more people can be vaccinated at the centre.
